Soccer Agility Training
Agility is the foundational skill to any sport, but specifically soccer. Soccer agility focuses in on: balance, power, strength and speed. Agility training should be the focus of younger age groups as they learn and focus on body control. At older ages, agility must be developed to increase speed, power and flexibility to reduce injuries.
Foundational Skills
Soccer player’s agility leads to improved athleticism and ball skills. These foundational skills can be broken down into four component groups: stationary balance, moving balance, on the move and dynamic agility.
